On behalf of everyone associated with The Cobden Centre, I want to congratulate Professor Philip Bagus – Professor for Economics at University Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid – for having recently been awarded The O.P. Alford III Prize in Libertarian Scholarship by the Mises Institute.
Each year the Institute gives this award for the best article published in the preceding volume of Libertarian Papers. In 2010, there were forty-five articles published and the award was given by the Institute’s President, Doug French, to Philipp for his highly recommended article: ‘Austrian Business Cycle Theory: Are 100 Percent Reserves Sufficient to Prevent a Business Cycle?’
