Baku Summit: A Shared Future

It was a pleasure speaking on a panel at the “Baku Summit: A Shared Future” in Azerbaijan last week. I spoke on a panel on localism and governance, the others on the panel were:

Juraj Droba MP: Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Chairman of the Bratislava Self-governing Region
Matteo Bianchi MP: Mayor of Morazzone and Member of Parliament, Italy
Elmar Valiyev: Mayor, Ganja city, Azerbaijan

There were great talks from, among others, Amjad Bashir MEP, with whom we are working on an event in the European Parliament right now (more info soon) and Jorge Quiroga, the former president of Bolivia.

The event was well organised by ACRE — many said it was their best so far — you can see a list of speakers and other info below:

I also got to catch up with Jonathan De Leyser, the new manager at Dan Hannan’s think tank IFT. We will have some new animations and other materials coming out soon explaining the benefits of free trade.

More info promoting free trade coming soon!
