Ideas to policy to action.
Our approach is founded on the rigorous exposition of ideas by academics. The Cobden Centre does not produce original theories: the libraries are, as Stephen Fry has pointed out, full of them.
Therefore, the first step of our approach is the identification of consistent ideas and theories which explore and enable a good society. You can find our literature here.
We recognize that ideas drive policy. Our second step is to find or develop then communicate sound strategies to policy-makers and other influencers. We seek to work in partnership with all like-minded people and organisations in furthering our shared vision.
We understand that policy achieves nothing without understanding and action. Our final step is to help put policy into action to deliver our vision. We will educate and campaign to garner the widest support for our shared ideas and practical policies.
